Lower Your PSA.
Avoid the Needle,
and a revolving door for unnecessary and dangerous biopsies.
PSA
is not an indicator of prostate cancer but an indicator
of prostate health. Cancer is one of three possible disease
states. How do you know? The problem is that even with a
PSA of 4.0, many men still don’t have cancer. But
a lot of men with a PSA of only 1.5 already have cancer.
That is why the PSA test is not a good screen for cancer,
but a very good indicator of prostate health. We know that
chronic prostatitis leads to prostate cancer, so you cannot
ignore the signs.
Although you have heard that a PSA of 0-4
ng/ml is “normal”, IT IS NOT NORMAL; 20-30%
of all Prostate Cancers are in the 0-4 range, making this
a true medical oxymoron.
Be wary when you are told your PSA is “normal”
–
GET TO KNOW THE NUMBER AND DON’T TAKE A NEEDLESS
RISK!
The number one reason that PSA elevates is Prostatitis
not Prostate Cancer or BPH; A PSA -> 0.6 – 0.7
ng/ml is associated with a 3-4 fold increase incidence of
Prostate Cancer in men 40-60 years old. (Johns Hopkins).
More alarming – over 180,000 radical prostatectomies
were performed in 2007, with a third of them on “inconsequential”
cancers.
“What
scientists have discovered, was that many of these
cancers would never kill the host. The treatment was usually
far worse than the disease.”
